Butter Chicken Recipe – Grilled Boneless Chicken Mixed with Gravy

It is also called as “Chicken Tikka Masala” and is one of the most well-liked North Indian curries around the world. This tasty butter chicken recipe is also famous by its own Hindi name – “Murgh -Makhani”. The experience of the creamy light colored Masala with the pieces of grilled chicken is a remarkable one and I love it myself with some soft chapatti or Nan, although you can take it with any type of Indian bread also. Method of Preparation for Butter Chicken Recipe:

 

Step: 1

Take lemon juice, chili powder, and salt in a medium bowl to make a mixture. Use this mixture into the chicken pieces and set aside for 30 minutes in the room temperature or refrigerator.

Use a muslin cloth to hang the yogurt at least 20 minutes for taking out extra water. Add garlic and ginger pastes, red chili and hot spice powder, mustard oil, and salt.

Step: 3

Keep the chicken pieces into the marinating mixture and place them into the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.

Step: 4

Preheated oven temperature should be 400°F or 200°C. Set the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers one by one and cook into a hot tandoor or the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

Baste them with the butter and cook for 2 minutes. Take the chicken pieces out and set aside.

For making the makhni gravy, place a non-stick pan on medium fire and add butter. Then add cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon and peppercorns.

Stir for 2 minutes; add garlic and ginger paste and sauté for 2 minutes. Add red chili powder, tomato puree, salt and ½ cup of water.

Step: 8

Bring to boil them and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the honey or sugar and ground kasoori methi.

Step: 9

Now put the cooked chicken pieces. Simmer for 5 minutes and add fresh cream. Serve hot with the accompaniment such as Nan or Paratha that you prefer.
